We had recently remodeled our tiny bathroom to ADA standards in order to accommodate my husband's disabilities. After 4 months, the new plumbing pipes failed and flooded the new bathroom. The bathroom had to be demolished down to the studs and the subfloor torn out. The new plumber discovered that the prior "kit" shower/pan was no longer available in the size we needed and he recommended Evan at Evans Home Solutions to install a "tile" shower. Unfortunately, the demo team had caused damage to the sheetrock; and this 48 year old house had walls that were not plumb causing complications to the tile shower installation. Evan was fantastic! He promptly submitted a bid to the insurance company; and his exemplary work ethic and attention to detail (dare I say 'obsessive') was equal to my own as a home owner. He spent many hours guiding and assisting me as I struggled to find a color palette that matched my vision and goals. He caught my oversights and filled in the blanks, i.e., necessary shelving in a tile shower. He dealt with the frustration of the damage done to the sheet rock and the old walls; and conscientiously corrected them to ensure a waterproof and plumb installation with a problem-solving mind set and professional manner. Evan coordinated efficiently with the plumber and other contractors and venders-always working for my own best interests. Evan rapidly earned my trust even after I had been burned so badly by prior contractors. I always knew he was in my court and had the skills and vision to guarantee a positive outcome! Evan is amazing! He was incredibly prompt, meticulous, friendly, and helpful. He also provided a free estimate. He removed our old (and heavy) countertops flawlessly and even repaired some drywall damage leftover from the countertop installer. He will be helping us install backsplash in the near future as well. We told him we were planning on painting our cabinets and he provided tips. We were so impressed with his work that we were eager to hear his opinion on other problem areas in our home. My husband walked him around the house and Evan shared ideas, tips, and rough cost estimates of projects we hope to hire out in the future (we will definitely use Evan for them). He was extremely informative and I appreciated his attention to detail and dedication. He's the type of contractor you can trust to do the job perfectly.
